Speaker Series: Tapoka Mkandawire

The fifth in the series of our Black STEMM Futures speaker series. Tapoka Mkandawire, PhD student at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, discusses her research into whipworms, how they cause a neglected tropical disease that affects millions of people in the tropics and how they could be used to treat Autoimmune diseases. Tapoka also talks about what it is like to be a Phd student and gives her top tips on following your curiosity to further your career.
